EB with star alliance and refund

if I book on the SAS start alliance portal a flight with points, it says i can get a refund.
if SAS goes bannkrupt can i get the refund anyway ?

 

No. In case of a bancruptcy, all is lost.

 

But they are doing a chapter 11 in the US, and it says that operations and Eurobonus will be unaffected by this, so it should work as normal

 

Paying with a "real" credit card should at least protect you against losing the cash paid fees and taxes, as you can demand a charge back by the credit issuer.

However, points used will be lost in case of a bankruptcy. But they will be lost no matter if you have a booking or if they are in your EuroBonus account.

 

What if you book a Thai Airways bonus trip through SAS website? Would you lose the trip if SAS goes bankrupt?
